McMurtry Spéirling Dominates 2024 Corkscrew Hillclimb
Drako GTE Breaks Record By Over One Second
The 1200-horsepower quad-motor Drako GTE has shattered the production car world record at the prestigious Laguna Seca Corkscrew Hillclimb. With a blistering time of just 2195 seconds, the GTE eclipsed the previous record by over one second, setting a new benchmark for production car performance.
The record-breaking run was part of the second annual Corkscrew Hillclimb, held at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca during Monterey Car Week. The event showcased some of the world's most advanced and fastest production cars, competing in a unique blend of time trials and hillclimb challenges.
In the 2023 edition of the Hillclimb, British Touring car legend Neal Muston piloted the GTE to victory in the production car class. Not content with just winning, Muston pushed the GTE to its limits and set a new world record in the process.
Drako's groundbreaking electric powertrain and advanced aerodynamics proved to be an unbeatable combination on the challenging Laguna Seca circuit. The GTE's quad-motor setup provides instantaneous torque and lightning-fast acceleration, while its downforce-generating bodywork kept the car firmly planted through the winding corners.
The GTE's world record-setting performance is a testament to the company's commitment to innovation and pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle technology. With its record-breaking speed and exceptional handling, the Drako GTE is a true game-changer in the world of high-performance cars.
